Costas Psarros is Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Athens; he has served as a faculty member of the 1st Department of Psychiatry of the University of Athens since 2002. He is also serving as a psychiatrist in his own private practice. His clinical as well as research activities pertain to the fields of emotional anxiety, post-traumatic and sleep disorders. He has participated in more than 20 research programs. He has published more than 65 scientific articles. His scientific publications according to Google Scholar have received about 1000 citations. The major part of his research accomplishments pertain to the Psychopathology in the Post-traumatic Stress Disorder and Psychopharmacology. He is member of the founding group of a good number of scientific societies, as well as member of the Executive Committee of some of them. Moreover, he has participated in the Organization Committee of many Greek and International Congresses.
